Never too late.
Life is a funny thing when you think about it. everyone experiences the good the bad and the ugly and that's just it. I've gone through times but so has everyone else. These times shape you and make you stronger.
It's okay if at the start you feel helpless and struggle because that's when help will find it's way to you
At a young age I watched my brother dealing with drugs and alcohol which lead to trouble with police, then depression and having to watch my brother try to end his life, and watched my mum nearly pass away from Cancer. They are both happy and healthy and I have my strong positive family to thank for that, aswell as great four legged company. "Something that you can’t control about your life is your family

Rory's Story
Owning Imperfection.
I have never been one to make my personal life public..... but if being vulnerable, open and honest about my fractured life can show someone that healing is possible then I’m willing to raise my hand and say that I have been exactly where some of you are now.
Growing up with an absentee father within a household dominated by woman formed the foundation for many inconsistencies within my childhood. Growing older I fell into many holes from depression, anxiety, social anxiety, anger, violence and suicidal thoughts.

“Mental Health isn’t a topic that should be taken lightly. Personally I don’t know what it would be like but I have had to deal with the effects of when it gets too much for someone.
As kiwi’s the ‘she’ll be right’ attitude has been adopted by almost everyone throughout the years. This attitude can not be applied to mental health.
The term ‘I need help’ should be a term that is easily accepted and help should be readily available.
Help doesn’t just relate to counselling.
Help can be as little as a smile or a hug.
